  • OMBRÉ

An ombré brow tattoo is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that creates a soft, shaded brow look, similar to the effect of makeup. The technique involves depositing pigment into the skin using a small needle, with the colour being darker at the tail of the brow and gradually lightening towards the front. This creates a natural, gradient effect and can be adjusted to be more bold or natural.

  • NANO

Nano brow tattooing is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that uses a fine, single-needle machine to create ultra-precise hair-like strokes on the eyebrows. This technique is similar to microblading but uses a machine instead of a handheld tool, allowing for more accuracy and less trauma to the skin. Nano brow tattooing is designed to mimic natural brow hairs, creating a realistic and fuller brow appearance.

  • NANO COMBINATION

A combination brow tattoo is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that blends two techniques: nano and ombre shading. Nano tattooing uses a fine, single-needle machine to create ultra-precise hair-like strokes on the eyebrows. , while ombre shading adds a soft, powdery fill to give the brows more depth and definition. The result is a natural yet fuller-looking brow with both hair strokes and a gradient effect.

GENERAL INFO

  • In the consultation appointment, we will discuss what style of tattoo is best suited to you based on what your ultimate goals and desires are.

It also includes a full sculpt and dye where we will be mapping out your brows to create the perfect shape based on your features and preferences as well as choosing a colour that will be close to what the tattooed brows will look like.

This will give you the opportunity to walk around and get used to your new brows before committing to the tattoo.

    A consultation appointment is recommended for those who;

    • Are unsure of the style of tattoo they are wanting (ombré, combination or nano).

    • Have never had their brows professionally sculpted/tinted/dyed.

    • Have a pre-existing tattoo.

    • Would like to have a visual / taste of what the tattoo might look like before committing.

After the consultation you may book in your tattooing appointment which the consultation fee will then be deducted from the tattooing fee.

  • Proper preparation for your appointment is essential to ensure optimal healing, minimise discomfort, reduce the risk of complications, and achieve the best possible results.

    • Avoid using active skincare products that thin or sensitise the skin on your face for six weeks before your appointment. This includes products like retinol, AHA/BHAs, glycolic acid, and chemical peels.

    • Refrain from consuming alcohol, fish oil, caffeine, or taking blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or niacin 48 hours before your procedure, as these can cause excess bleeding and may impact your results.

    • Tattooing cannot be performed over blemishes, sores, sunburn, or moles in or around the brow area.

    • You cannot receive any botox or filler treatments in the 2 weeks prior or after your appointment.

    • Tattoo services cannot be performed if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant at the time of your appointment.

    • If you are prone to keloid scarring, you will not be eligible for a tattoo service.

    • You cannot receive a tattoo if you have used Vitamin A products, such as isotretinoin, Accutane, or retinol, within the past six months.

  • Your brows will be at their darkest in the first 1-4 days following your initial session.

At day 5-7 a scab will become to form and your brows will begin to flake and shed for up to 10 days.

Once your brows have scabbed and flaked entirely, your brow tattoo may seem lighter in colour, but will return to its expected colour after 2 weeks.

The whole healing process can take up to 6 weeks which is approximately when you’ll be due for your touch up where we can intensify colour, touch up any faded areas, and clean up your shape.

Expect the colour to fade 50-80% after the initial session.

  • The initial 10-14 day healing process is crucial for optimal results.

    • You must wipe your brows with a damp cotton round every hour on the first day you get your brows tattooed.

    • Aftercare cream needs to be applied morning and night for 5 days following your treatment. Do not apply any more or less frequently than this. Apply only with a clean cotton tip, not your fingers.

    • You cannot get your healing eyebrows (soaking) wet for the duration of the initial healing process (until the scab falls off).

    • When the brows begin to flake and scab, it is important not to pick, scratch or remove the scab prematurely. This will affect the healing process by removing the pigment creating patchy brows.

    • You must clean your face with fragrance-free make-up wipes or with a damp face washer.

    • You must keep your eyebrows (which are wounds) extremely clean. You can do so by gently wiping them daily with a fragrance-free make-up wipe and micellar water. Please ensure you pat the area dry with a clean tissue immediately afterwards to ensure the scab doesn’t fall off prematurely.

    • You will be unable to exercise for the duration of the initial healing process. Exercising will promote sweating which will cause the pigment to push out of the skin, leaving you with a patchy result.

    • Avoid excessive amounts of caffeine and alcohol during this time.

    • You cannot be exposed to direct sunlight during this period.

  • After your initial appointment, a touch up is required approximately 6-8 weeks after your initial session.

The final result will be created at the touch up appointment, where we correct the shape, colour and saturation of the tattoo.

We learn a lot about your brows and skin the first time we tattoo you, so we would rather go a lighter shade initially and then go darker at the touch up depending on how quickly your skin metabolises the pigment.

Any maintenance touch ups that you'd wish to book will incur an additional fee as specified on the booking system.

FAQs

  • Cosmetic Brow Tattooing is the semi-permanent makeup technique that involves using a needle to deposit pigment into the skin to create fuller brows, correct symmetry and provide longer lasting results than common brow services.

  • Different techniques, such as Nano and Ombre, have different projected longevities, ranging from 2-10 years.

It’s important to note, that as it is a cosmetic tattoo that a level of pigment will always remain in the skin, but may require a touch up session in the years after your initial session.

Skin type, aftercare, age, medications and treatments may impact the projected longevity.

  • Most clients experience a mild discomfort, typically ranked at a 2/10.

It’s important to note that genetic factors and resistance to anaesthetic may alter your experience and personal pain scale during the procedure.

Clients must purchase their own anaesthetic for the procedure. Instructions to order your numbing cream is automatically emailed to you upon booking your appointment.

  • Allocate 3-4 hours for your total appointment. Of this time, expect to be tattooed for approximately 2-3 hours.

In the first hour of the appointment, we’ll select your style, colour, and map out the shape we’ll follow for the tattoo.

  • Rest assured, we’ll perform an intensive brow map to create maximal symmetry, definition and a shape that flatters your face.

Once we’ve completed this, you’ll be able to review the shape and request any alterations before moving forward.

We’ll never tattoo you until you’re 100% happy with the shape we’ve created.

  • While we do take your personal preferences into consideration, the pigments used are carefully chosen by your technician to match your unique features.

The selection process considers your skin tone, hair colour, eye colour, and personal preferences, ensuring the pigment colours are perfectly suited to you.

It is important to note that the colour will look much warmer and darker initially but the body will naturally metabolise the pigment to a lighter and cooler shade.

    You must trust the process!

  • This really depends on the individual and circumstance of the pre-existing tattoo.

This can be assessed at your consultation appointment.

Some tattoos will need to be removed through laser or saline removal before receiving another treatment.

Others will need colour correction. Eg. For brows that have gone a bluey grey colour over time, we can counteract the blue by depositing an orange pigment to bring the brows back to a brown. This also depends on how dark / how much pigment is already there.
